It's hard to over-state the significance of the arrest at Heathrow under Section 7 of the Terrorism Act of the leading British-Palestinian Christian and Cambridge Professor Khoury-Machool. Interrogated for hours in front of his 8 year-old son.
The Professor a distinguished son of both Bethlehem and Jerusalem was arrested off a flight from Paris on GOOD FRIDAY. This gentle devout moderate academic father has himself been a victim of terror at the hands of the British state. While it is unlikely that the government was not consulted before this brazen misuse of Terror Laws the Prime Minister must now denounce it, apologise to the Professor and his family and to Britain's Palestinian community. He should go to Cambridge and do so in person. Otherwise it must be concluded that the government has declared war on its own citizens, that liberty is dead in this land, and that Britain is no longer a safe country. Hear me when I say: if this can happen to Professor Khoury-Machool it can happen to anyone. And will.

@SYale45805 @DaveOwe23909378 @HackneyPSC As I pointed out initially my observation was that staff were overwhelmingly supportive of the action, as much as the shoppers who responded positively. There was only one staff member who I think was a supervisor trying to get the other workers to oppose. They didn’t at all.
