@WhiteHouse well my goodness. The contractor itself admits that ALL of the problems with the Reflecting Pool were caused by its own human errors, NOT VANDALS. GEE WHAT A SURPRISE.

Today is an important day – a day of strong people, and at the same time, a deeply tragic one. Twenty-five years ago, on September 11, people were attacked. A terrible attack, a tragedy in the United States. Nearly 3,000 people from 90 countries around the world were killed, including Ukrainians. We honor all the heroes who did everything they could that day to save the lives of others – police officers and firefighters, and simply caring people, including those of Ukrainian descent. We express our respect, admiration, and condolences.
At that time, NATO showed its strength. And it is very important that there was a response to terrorism and that Article 5 was invoked. This shows that if people want to preserve their civilization and their choice to defend their rights, freedoms, and values, there must be a response to any enemy or terrorist. Because evil must be punished.
25 years ago, Queen Elizabeth broke with tradition and ordered the US National Anthem played at Buckingham Palace.
Today, by command of The King, that same anthem rang out again on the anniversary of 9/11.
The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester stood in for His Majesty, joined by US Ambassador Warren Stephens.
Never forget. 🇬🇧🇺🇸
@GovNL You have our undying thanks. Please know that the vast majority of Americans still value our long and deep friendship with Canada and hope that sanity will soon return.
Today, we remember those lost on September 11, 2001, and honour all affected. Amid unimaginable tragedy, we reflect on the compassion of Newfoundlanders and Labradorians who welcomed thousands of stranded travelers and showed enduring power of generosity, humanity and community.
As US Ambassador to NATO on 9/11, the first to call me to suggest we invoke Article 5 was Canadian Ambassador David Wright. Our allies came to our rescue that terrible day. I’ll call David this morning 25 years later to thank him and our great neighbor Canada once again!
As we approach the 25th anniversary of September 11th, I am reminded of the remarkable story of Operation Yellow Ribbon. When American airspace closed after the attacks, more than 6,500 stranded travelers were welcomed by the people of Gander, Newfoundland who housed and fed them until the crisis was over. In our darkest hour, our Canadian neighbors demonstrated extraordinary compassion.
@WhiteHouse another milestone. Congratulations
Diesel hits all-time high of $6 per gallon, and just about everything will cost more https://t.co/D4wN3W6jVz
@EricLDaugh HUGE in the sense that it's a HUGE lie. No way no how. Where will this money come from? ...and if your answer is proceeds from tariffs...well, lets remember that tariffs are paid by US, by AMERICANS, not by foreign companies..and will likely be found illegal...again.
Scapegoating wolves is part of a package of concessions to the U.S. agriculture industry because American farmers and ranchers are angry about the Trump’s decision to ease tariffs on 300,000 metric tons of imported beef.
BUT: Fewer than 1% of cows and sheep are killed by wild carnivores, including wolves, according to @USDA data. Removing protections will result in untold death and cruelty for these animals.
The war on wolves needs to end, not escalate. Share if you agree.

One year ago, the U.S. Senate took up an amendment that would have compelled the DOJ to release the Epstein Files.
These Senators voted to BLOCK releasing the files and are up for re-election this year:
Dan Sullivan (R-AK)
Ashley Moody (R-FL)
Susan Collins (R-ME)
Jon Husted (R-OH)
@berniemoreno Come off it Senator. This is pure BS and you know it. There is no chance that this will ever happen. Where will you come up with over $1 Trillion to pay for this? The GOP is already exploding the deficit. No chance this ever comes to be. Empty noise and empty promises.
Trump offers a bribe of $5,000 in exchange for votes, the bribe is promoted as a dividend and would cost $1.2 trillion dollars. This is a felony under 18 U.S.C. § 597, bribing someone to vote a certain way is a federal crime punishable by prison.
Why do people only supposedly get the $5,000 if Republicans win in November? Republicans control everything and have for 2 years. Why didn’t they do it before? Why don’t they come back into session tomorrow and pass it right now? Because it’s all a lie, like everything else.
