Political junkie (though the appetite has waned somewhat), Scottish Independence supporter, crap golfer & semi-retired 5 aside player
When Douglas Alexander breached the ministerial code by failing to declare he'd met with Mandelson's former lobbying firm BBC Scotland steadfastly refused to pursue the story. Andrew Kerr sent one message asking for Alexander to comment, which he ignored. No follow up. The story just died.
There's no mechanism or appetite within BBC Scotland for pursuing the BritNat parties. None whatsoever. The SNP issued calls for an inquiry into Alexander and it wasn't even reported by BBC BritNat. From Sarwar's election bots and the numerous scandals involving senior Scottish Labour figures [two awaiting trial and whatever happened to Foysol Choudhury?] the Labour party gets a free pass.
We’ve learnt some bad news that Donny Strathie passed away in Boston on Sunday. He had a ticket for the Morocco game, but never got the chance to realize his World Cup dream.
It would mean a lot to his family if we could organise a minutes applause in the 76th minute of the Morocco game.

Who controlled all offshore oil and gas taxation, exploration, production and development for the 14 years between 2010 and 2024? Ah yes, it was the Tory party.
Interesting points: no public funds have been embezzled - the sole victim is @theSNP and its members.
Enough funds can be recovered from Murrell via ‘proceeds of crime’ mechanisms to repay the £400k he embezzled.
The difference between Starmer and Burnham is that Starmer campaigned to keep Scotland under David Cameron's Tory government by telephone but Andy Burnham came over the border to campaign for it as an Imperial Master.
On May 3rd businesswoman Marie Macklin appeared on The Sunday Show to discuss criticism of Malcom Offord. She was presented as neutral. She attacked Ross Greer and the SNP. The day after the vote she revealed she was a good friend of Offord and supported him during the campaign.
Once again BBC Scotland has questions to answer about the presentation of guests as neutral on political programmes when they are anything but. In this case it's worse given Macklin appeared during an actual election campaign and made several politically motivated comments that favoured Reform and negatively impacted the Greens and SNP.
Alex Cole-Hamilton may not be aware of the fact that the Liberal Democrats & before them the Liberal Party have lost every single election in Scotland since 1922. 104 years of failure. So on his logic Lib Dems don't have a right to discuss any issue.
This is grossly tin-eared @bbcdebatenight - the electorate have just voted in a pro-independence majority to our parliament and you stick 4 right wing unionists on the panel and one pro-indy representative. @bbcscotland unwatchable
