As advisor to Middlesbrough's first Labour Mayor, @Dave_Budd_, I was proud to support his work to deliver investment to the town, tackle financial insecurity with his Community Bank, and instill Labour values in everything Middlesbrough Council did.
His support means a lot.
#middlesbrough people, can we all show some love for Heidi Schulz-Immer? Heidi was passionate about the town twinning between Mbro and her city of #Oberhausen in Germany. She loved Mbro, our people and our heritage. She died this weekend after a battle with Cancer. RIP Heidi 🇩🇪🇬🇧
Here we go again. 2 of the 3 'Teesside Tory Boys' claiming credit for others work. The Boho plans predate both of them. Thanks to Council officers, local companies, our Uni and the Labour Council who created this and announced it some time ago. But another day, another photo..
I am surprised, given what he has said at our meetings together, that the Mayor has chosen to use Cleveland Police as a political football. I have met @Tees_Issues three times since he was elected and had been led to believe that he was supportive of the work of my office (1/3)
That may be true, but not in a positive way. Their behaviour frequently the positions of responsibility they hold and betrays the people who backed them. This is not a change for the better. On the contrary, it further erodes confidence in democracy.
Deep dissatisfaction with politics as usual has encouraged the emergence of a new wave of anti- establishment populists and 'non-politicians' whose main and often only claim to office is that they are different to those who went before.
A big thank you to ex Mayor of Middlesbrough Dave Budd for nominating DF Middlesbrough to receive a donation collected at awards ceremony. This money will be spent on Dementia Friendly community activities. Presentation made by @mbrochiefexec Tony Parkinson
It's sad that the new mayor doesn't understand the importance of regeneration and housing policies developed over many years by politicians and professional and talented officers.
I’m proud to be standing for Mayor of Middlesbrough; the place I was born, where I raised my family, and where I continue to live. I’m running for Mayor to continue delivering for my hometown and our communities
It’s been a huge privilege and honour to have been able to serve my hometown first as a Councillor, and lately as Mayor.
Middlesbrough has made great strides forward, in particular in the last few years, and I’m proud to have played my part in our progress.
As mayor he will oversee council houses being built once again, work hard to ensure investment comes to Middlesbrough and the creation of good quality jobs, and improve the chances for our young people.
@borolabour@Mick4Boro @MayorDaveBudd @AndyMcDonaldMP Boro Labour Team an honour to support your Positive Campaign seeing how much you #LoveMiddlesbrough in all its wondrous diversity & how hard you work for your constituents. You have made me a better Citizen. I am grateful🙏🏽
