Book 7 of 2023: a bit of brain hacking. This was an interesting one in that it makes a valiant effort to get to the core of why everyone is so distracted, but is self-aware enough to realise that there is no one size fits all solution to the problem. Wha… https://t.co/D3I7TpaUso

Book 6 of 2023: some food for thought. There are some interesting ideas on the potential causes of ADHD here, and possible ways it can be alleviated. While I might not agree with absolutely everything in the book, there are definitely some novel ideas th… https://t.co/ulqmJWZWU2

Book 5 of 2023: the conclusion of the trilogy. The plot is laid bare, and consequences ensue!

It’s interesting to note how my reaction to those in power responding to the impending crisis changes over time and re-readings. Finding a balance between bei… https://t.co/7jvBDpwPEW

Book 4 of 2023: next in the series. I’ve finished a couple of books but forgot to put them here 🤦🏻‍♂️

Glad I decided to give these a re-read because there are things I’m noticing now that I’ve definitely missed before. The scope widens in this one and … https://t.co/x3kDTabIJD

Book 3 of 2023: revisiting one of my favourite trilogies. I remember borrowing this series from a friend when I was still in school, and I’ve read it a couple of times since then. Magic, intrigue, and a story that draws you in from the get-go: well worth… https://t.co/TnLftjAUkC

Book 2 of 2023: a comic with a serious message. The author tells the tale of his Jewish family’s experiences during WW2 and the holocaust. Difficult reading in parts, and terrifying to think of the things that people had to do to survive. I’ve been sat f… https://t.co/f4iykQVC87

Book 1 of 2023: some smart thinking to kick off the new year! Really interesting ideas in here about why our snap judgements deserve more credit than we sometimes give them - and arguably more importantly, the things that can frustrate them and lead to t… https://t.co/sKlQGfuz54

Book 18 of 2022: revisiting an old favourite, and possibly the last book for this year. I’ve been chipping away at this one for a couple of months, and managed to finish it before the year is out. Tolkien’s writing can be a slog in places, but it’s well … https://t.co/KeLS8G9E0Z

Book 15 of 2022: something a bit spooky. Quite a bit different to the film, but that made it better (as is usually the case with book to film adaptations). The hotel itself is a character, and you get this creeping sense of malevolence as the story progr… https://t.co/WfQjhmx5vU

@gonortheast I realise you’ll probably get this until tomorrow, but you might want to have a word with the driver of the 81 who drove straight out of Gateshead Interchange at 21:14 without stopping to pick up passengers - someone did hold their hand out too.

I don’t do what I do for things like this, but things like this remind me why I do what I do. Amongst the chaos that is summer where I work, it’s genuinely encouraging to know that our efforts are appreciated by the people who come to us (and their kids!… https://t.co/lmpIfB4okj
