HERE'S HOW I MADE MY FIRST $1K
After my post yesterday, I got a lot of DMs and comments asking how.
The journey to $1k didn't start today, it didn't start yesterday, it didn't start last week. It started several months ago.
It took several months of learning, unlearning, trying, failing, trying again, failing again and finally succeeding.
Unlike many people who made their first $1k from NFTs, memecoins, or airdrops, I made mine from web3 jobs.
Now here's something I've noticed, most of the jobs I've gotten that paid well came from referrals or founders reaching out to me directly.
But this particular one? Nobody referred me. The founder didn't slide into my DMs. I went and got it myself.
I had been following this founder for a while. I showed up on his content consistently, engaged genuinely, started conversations in his DMs, not to pitch, just to connect.
I did this for weeks. By the time I eventually brought up what I do, I wasn't a stranger. I was someone he already knew and trusted.
But before I even pitched, I studied his community. I saw the gaps. He had people running things but there were cracks, things being missed, opportunities being left on the table.
I came to him not with "hire me" but with "here's what I see and here's how I'd fix it."
He gave me the shot.
I came in with a strategy, set the guidelines, and got to work.
Eight weeks later, the results were visible and my job was done, and I got paid.
That's the story.
But here's the part most people skip over.
I learned the skill before I tried to earn from it.
Most people want to jump straight to the money without putting in the work to actually be worth paying.
They want the $1k without the months of learning what community management actually means, what growth marketing actually looks like, what it takes to walk into someone's project and make a real difference.
The skill came first, then the positioning, then the value, then the payment.
So if you're trying to figure out how to make your first bag from web3 without touching a chart, get a skill, position yourself well, and go offer your value.
Not after you feel ready. Do it now!
Good luck and congratulations to you in advance 🤎
