The legacy of this @POTUS won't be the monuments he builds to himself but the destruction of faith in public institutions for his own power and profit.
He wants to rewrite or erase history because he knows it won't be kind to him.
Trump reduced Social Security staffing to a 60 year low. Now, over a dozen field offices are closed to the public.
It’s like an old car clanking down the highway as it leaks oil and gasoline.
Every day, it is getting harder for Americans to access their hard earned benefits.
Today the House State Government and Elections committee will take testimony on my bill to update the Access to Public Records Act (APRA). As I told the RI Current in yesterday's article, we should not be working to find ways to keep records confidential. https://t.co/VGILNum8Zl
My family & I recently spent the evening at Maple Foundation's annual community Iftar meal. Strengthening our bonds has never been more critical than it is now. As Ramadan comes to an end, I wish peace and fulfillment in these final days. May your fasting and prayers be accepted.
Congratulations to the U.S. Men’s and Women’s hockey teams, Alysa Liu, Breezy Johnson, Mikaela Shiffrin and all the amazing Olympic athletes representing @TeamUSA.
I'm so proud to be a Minnesotan.
We showed the nation that neighbors standing together are stronger than Donald Trump and his masked agents.
Cruelty will not win. Now we continue the work. For Renee and Alex. For Liam Ramos. For people everywhere who deserve liberty and peace.
After years of DOT mismanagement, squandered resources, lack of transparency & unresponsiveness to the public, Rhode Island deserves accountability. Alviti's resignation today is a step in the right direction. Now we need a total restructuring of the DOT. https://t.co/Dj1NhRsVUA
Today, we remember the six million Jews and millions of others murdered in the Holocaust.
We honor the victims, listen to the survivors, and recommit to standing against antisemitism, hate and violence in all its forms.
#HolocaustRemembranceDay
I am heartbroken to learn that another person was killed today while exercising their first amendment rights in Minneapolis.
My thoughts are with the family and loved ones of the victim and the entire City of Minneapolis.
I am outraged by the lawlessness we are witnessing by federal agents across the nation. These reckless actions by federal officers are making our communities less safe.
I stand with Mayor Frey in calling for the immediate de-escalation of this situation.
We share in the heartbreak and anger of the people of Minneapolis.
The videos I saw were disturbing and the conduct of the law enforcement agents involved appear to represent the opposite of the professionalism, training and ethics that Providence police officers uphold in our community.
We are being told that these actions are meant to elevate public safety but instead they are making our neighborhoods less safe.
"For the country, @RepMGP demonstrated that politics doesn’t have to be strictly an us-versus-them exercise and that calling out wrongdoing by one of your own can be noble- especially if, as in this case, you’re serving the cause of upholding democracy."
Went on Channel 10 News Conference with Gene Valicenti yesterday. Appreciate the opportunity to talk about the AG's race, my record of service, and delivering results for Rhode Island.
