Amazing OFSAA track & field action at the Terry Fox Facility. Yesterday John Byrne finished an amazing season running a gutsy 100m heat - leading much of it and finishing 4th. Today, St Matt’s crew measured 2 OFSAA long jump records of 36 and 12 years. @CapoOttawa @StMatthewOCSB

The OCIAA 7-8 Track & Field championships were held today at the Terry Fox Facility. St Matthew students came away with 2nd-100m, 400m, 800m, 4th place in the shot put, and many other top 10 finishes. Congrats Tigers! @CapoOttawa @ErinBerthelot1 @StMatthewOCSB

Today concluded the East Regional Track & Field Championships. John Byrne won his heat, then finished 4th overall in a fast final at 11.01 - qualifying for OFSAA next week. Go Tigers! @CapoOttawa @ErinBerthelot1 @StMatthewOCSB

St Matthew CHS had some fast athletes at the NCSSAA Track & Field Championships yesterday. Leading the way was again John Byrne who ran 11.1 for the 100m and qualified for Regionals next week. Congrats Tigers!

We had a cool and long day at the Terry Fox Athletic Facility with some hot St Matthew CHS performances. Five athletes qualified (top 8) in 6 events for NCSSAA. John Byrne won the 100m (3rd 200m) with a very impressive 10.98. Wow!! @CapoOttawa @ErinBerthelot1 @StMatthewOCSB

The National Cross Country Running Championships took place at the Terry Fox/Mooney’s Bay facility this weekend. It’s the same hilly course the grade 7-8 and HS students raced on a few weeks ago. A perfect day for it! @CapoOttawa @StMatthewOCSB
