@chilternrailway Really? Your Facebook team now saying the Met line affected when all staff are saying Met line clear and to get to Amersham or Harrow. Beyond a joke. Piss ups and breweries come to mind.
@chilternrailway Could you elaborate on the options? Is it do it and help customers or not do it and save money? The trains are there to do it. It’s one stop. It’s been done before so it’s operationally possible. And the buses, which company? The station staff have heard you’re still looking.
@chilternrailway You just ran a train to GM having told us there was a bus from there to Amersham so you can run trains. Turns out the bus was a lie. Now stranded at GM. Why can’t that train run to Amersham. The problem is at Marylebone 20 miles away.
304 BILLION BARRELS.
That’s the real reason Venezuela matters.
Sky News just laid it out plainly: Trump’s Venezuela obsession was never really about drugs. It’s about oil, specifically heavy crude.
The U.S. now produces tons of light shale oil, but our Gulf Coast refineries were built for heavy, gloopy crude. They need it to function. And guess who has the largest proven reserves of heavy oil on Earth?
Venezuela.
Canada has some. Russia has some. But Venezuela has the most, 304 billion barrels sitting underground. That’s why tankers, sanctions, regime change talk, and now bombs.
It was never about fentanyl.
It was never about democracy.
It’s about feeding refineries, controlling supply, and locking down oil before rivals do.
@chilternrailway I am on the 18:30 toward Aylesbury delayed for the same reason. The train in front has been cancelled at Amersham. Is this train also going to suffer the same fate for some other reason?
@chilternrailway I got the 20:23 hoping to find my way back from Aylesbury and do you know what? For anyone stuck at Marylebone it’s now running the original route via Amersham. Can’t make this up. Honestly https://t.co/vPlrKSQgiW had more up to date info than any staff at the station.
@chilternrailway Like I respond every time. What is the point? You must receive hundred of complaints. Thousand over the years. Hundreds of people just got sent to a 2 car train that became dangerously overcrowded. Now people are running through the station chasing new trains that are not here.
@chilternrailway Never has anything come from such complaints. You will shift blame to NR/TFL/Government for not approving new rolling stock. There will be no changes to your awful comms, planning or management. People will still end up stood at a station wondering what the hell is going on.
@chilternrailway Or it turns out, perhaps they won’t depart at all. I hope someone puts out a public statement about the multiple days of chaos and disruption and that it is honest and meaningful.
@chilternrailway Thank you but what’s the point? Signal failures. Cancellations and delays [again] left right and centre. My point is ‘check your journey in advance’ is a joke as even when a train is running in 1 min it can still end up delayed or cancelled. I’ve abandoned plans for the day.
@chilternrailway I’m really sorry to say but it is exactly what myself and many other customers have come to expect. Without fundamental changes organisationally, a change in franchise ownership or huge investment, we all expect services to follow the downward trajectory of recent years.
