Saw a local screening of #ENBGiselle this evening ππππππ
It seemed to relate the subtle complexities of the story better than I remember from last time - very moving.
I wonder if it's been re-edited, and if that means it will soon be released on DVD?

Wonderfully crafted performance by @NatOsipova in tonight's #rohswanlake. Thrilled in Act 3 and moved to tears in Act 4.
In fact, the whole cast just 'clicked' for an amazing evening of dance of the highest calibre. The audience reaction said it all.
@CURZONPRODUCT@NatOsipova Yes, that was a nice little surprise - was she toying with the audience as well as Siegfried?
Mind you, she is such a joy to watch that I'd still leave happy if she went all 'Trocs' and did 32 press-ups! π
As in the last run, we got those scary, laser-locked stares between @NatOsipova and @balletboy09 in Act 3 again.
She was more of a black cat than a black swan, the way she toyed with her princely victim.

Did @NatOsipova add her own topical touch to The Insult in the glorious unapologetic melodrama that is Marguerite & Armand?
Passive acceptance of the face-flung banknotes augmented by knowing nods at the patriachal mores that led to it; is she becoming 'woke'?

@assamteaonly Yes, apparently it wasn't intentional; horrendous indeed - resembled a first stab at editing a home movie! Worryingly, it turns out the cross-fade was planned; I just hope public feedback means that's the first and last time we see it in a live broadcast from ROH!
Lescaut's exit in #ROHmanon scene 1 in cinema spoiled by stupid superimposed camera fades and split views (in a star, of all things).
Kevin O'H and Ross McG, please stop it! The story, the choreography, and the music doesn't need it; and the audience definitely doesn't need it!
It's been a real privilege over the last few weeks to have seen two outstanding performances by @NatOsipova in #ROHGiselle and now two in #ROHManon. She wears both roles like a glove, and the audience ends up in the palm of her hand.
A month later, and despite doses of #ROHWintersTale and #ROHBernstein, I still can't stop myself whistling #ROHGiselle.
No doubt #ROHManon will get me whistling that instead, though (hopefully!) I'll still be 'suffering' from the 'P-O syndrome'... https://t.co/n8cDNXVjZm

Guardian review had McGregor 'at top of his game'.
I agree, but it's a totally different game, and for the better. It's much more lyrical and is a real keeper.
Fantastic performance by all, but hats off to Joseph Sissons - he's a true star in the making!
An astonishing #ROHgiselle last night!
@NatOsipova is the most honest, committed and selfless dancer I have seen. It's not 'this is me, dancing Giselle', nor 'this is Giselle, danced by me', but 'this is Giselle'.
The result? The unreal becomes real; the unbelievable, believable.
Simply stunning @NatOsipova in #ROHGiselle on Thu.
3 highlights from so many-
Skipping into her held arabesque in A1 solo.
Those arm reaches to the side during the A2 PDD with Ball.
The sheer intensity of emotion conveyed just standing alone, arms down, palms out, head up in A2.
Another enjoyable romp through #rohsylvia with Osipova and Muntagirov. Not quite the same frisson as Monday night (that was *really* special), but who's at their peak that early in the morning - audience included?!
