@shawnrolland Better biking and transit connections would help. Currently the BRT stops a few blocks away (I’ve used it to go to the zoo with my 6 year old). Some promotion of this option, along with an improvement in the pedestrian experience might encourage more folks to ride MCTS to the zoo
I was driving around one of the wealthier suburbs the other day and passed the house that a boomer co-worker bought for $35K in the 1980s and now would we worth well over $1M. Pissed me off

@humantransit Wind farms in the US are almost always in rural areas, where locals tend to despise them. It’s partly aesthetics, and partly about a narrative of urbanites plundering and marring the rural landscape at the expense of rural dwellers. So, I see 47 as pandering to his rural base.
Multi family housing mixed in with duplexes in a neighborhood of mostly single family homes.
And somehow the Earth has maintained its orbit and the sun has continued to rise
@DanRShafer One of my fondest memories of this era will always be when my wife and I went to Greece, telling people we’re from Milwaukee and seeing their faces light up. What a treasure to have him in our city all these years.
We’ve spent billions of dollars to make driving and parking anywhere you want as easy as possible. In fact one could argue that facilitating driving has been the US’s national project for the last 80 years. So I promise you’ll be totally fine driving downtown to the Bucks game
The first thing Francis did when he became pope in 2013 was visit a women’s prison in Rome and washed the feet of the prisoners.
Throughout his time as pope he spoke truth to power and embodied the mission of the church to uplift the poor and the marginalized.
