This is a thread about Brady Street Pedestrianization. It's not about parking or delivery zones, but rather the larger parts of a project that will help ensure the long term viability of the project.

@partymom6@rpmm24 It doesn’t really matter that you or Clancy are socialists. He wasn’t a bad supervisor and isn’t not a bad rep because he’s a socialist. He’s a bad because of how he acts. I draw that distinction because I like Madison, Brower, and Hong. It’s specifically him I have an issue with
@partymom6@rpmm24 This is a very naive position to take especially when counties and cities in Wisconsin are creatures of the state (which has weak home rule laws). You do live in LA though.
@partymom6@rpmm24 When his colleagues voted for the sales tax, they voted to preserve our public transit, our parks, and the services we provide the less fortunate. He chose the opposite and insulted his colleagues for making that choice.
@jasoninmke@rpmm24 He’s not well liked by his colleagues among other issues. And that matters if we get a majority. Every Dem is going to want to bring home money to their communities. And a person not many people like isn’t going to be as successful at that.
@partymom6@rpmm24 I met him and he’s a dick. Also, maybe he’s a good activist, but he has no stomach to take a painful vote when it’s absolutely necessary. But he’s perfectly willing to insult and degrade his colleagues who are. Terrible county supervisor,
THIS IS WHY WE BUILD BIKE LANES!
Summerfest traffic at a standstill in the 3rd ward but folks can easily get a ride from downtown direct to the main gates with bikes!
If this happens, the Packers are either coming to Milwaukee or leaving the state. I support the Packers staying in Green Bay for a lot of reasons, but I *can not* take another stadium controversy. Please, don’t make us fight to bring them to Milwaukee.
The Packers respond to Rep. Fitzgerald on UPFRONT: “Fans should be offended that Fitzgerald then went further, saying our concerns were "laughable." What is laughable is that a congressman from Wisconsin is leading this charge.”
@rpmm24@thetransitagend In a world where the subway gets built, I can imagine the Northern surviving as well and perhaps being incorporated into a single rapid transit line using excess Milwaukee Beerline ROW.
@rpmm24@thetransitagend Personally, I think if the Northern had survived and come under state operation, there would have been a move to purchase the C&NW ROW which was rapidly losing traffic. That would have taken it into Milwaukee Union Station.
@rpmm24@thetransitagend There are 3 lines which would have been of great use to the city and could have been improved with time and freight abandonments:
- Milwaukee-Waukesha Rapid Transit
- Milwaukee-Cedarburg Rapid Transit
- The Northshore
@Evanryt@joshWankowski This just isn’t true. They have another project this year to connect the Jefferson Bikeway to Van Buren via Jackson. And if it wasn’t for Union Pacific, by the end of this year, you would have been able to bike from Holton and Glover to 6th and Howard entirely on bikeways.
