@rpmm24@rpmm24 this analysis is incorrect and the study explored the traffic patterns in the area. Issue is 1) bridges and 2) folks don’t navigate other streets (Brady is overly congested versus the surrounding grid)
@muad_diva@muad_diva see this is what I mean: stop being cynical. We need to fight for this stuff to exist first. Once we have massive numbers of bikes like nyc, then we can argue about how they should use the infrastructure
THIS IS WHY WE BUILD BIKE LANES!
Summerfest traffic at a standstill in the 3rd ward but folks can easily get a ride from downtown direct to the main gates with bikes!
@GerlachCade@GerlachCade honestly shocked at how many I saw, at least 10 of these were zipping up and down. Literally the definition of if you build it, they will come
First, we have a nice model coming this summer – we hope it will delight and surprise in a few capabilities. This will be the start of a new family of models, fat indeed, but sparse. We're opening up an early access program in July for key partners in research, government and the industry.
The scoops don't stop!
Qualcomm has been in talks to acquire AI chip startup Tenstorrent. A price b/w $8-$10b has been floated in convos, which would represent a big premium to the $3.2b Tenstorrent was trying to raise at in November.

@Evanryt Most of that was being they were learning and there was a weird concrete shortage in 2024. They’ve started nailing it now, these 3rd ward ones are sick and have different designs based on what level of construction they want to do on the road
Construction on Corcoran Ave. & Jefferson St. is wrapping up! By end of day Friday, June 12, both streets will reopen to two-way traffic.
Project improvements include:
✅ High-impact paving
✅ New pedestrian ramps
✅ Two-way protected bike lanes
✅ Pinned-on bioswale islands
@Evanryt I mean they literally just fixed the whole third ward in less than a month so I trust. Ironically I think the oak leaf to Hank Aaron trail connection will be the hardest part (I’ve also raised that red flag to DPW folks)
@Evanryt Being honest here, you’re really misinformed. The city has a 5 year plan it’s building out (with a new 5+ yr plan in the works). The city is broke so it’s just taking so time 🤷♂️ but our DPW is going beast mode when they can

If you’ve wondered about the construction underway outside the right-field corner at American Family Field, the Brewers revealed the answer this morning. Here’s a first look at renderings of what they’re building. https://t.co/tyiYEZMvJs
@AgroDrago@ratslayer00@TomDaykin I actually pointed that out to WisDoT in the meetings lmao especially since they are 100% sure that regardless of the i794 decision that they can sell the current lakefront lot that's been on the market for the last decade
The state already owns the tracks and ROW between Watertown and Madison. It would be a fairly easy lift to upgrade them to 110 mph. And the CPKC mainline should be redouble-tracked between Pewaukee and Watertown. It just takes money.
@ratslayer00@ratslayer00 that's the boomer headline that's just not true. @TomDaykin has great articles about why the the buildings you're referring to failed to fill fast, most of it boils down to multiple high profile buildings finishing within a year of each other
