@rpmm24 @rpmm24 this analysis is incorrect and the study explored the traffic patterns in the area. Issue is 1) bridges and 2) folks don’t navigate other streets (Brady is overly congested versus the surrounding grid)

@Evanryt Most of that was being they were learning and there was a weird concrete shortage in 2024. They’ve started nailing it now, these 3rd ward ones are sick and have different designs based on what level of construction they want to do on the road

Construction on Corcoran Ave. & Jefferson St. is wrapping up! By end of day Friday, June 12, both streets will reopen to two-way traffic.
Project improvements include:
✅ High-impact paving
✅ New pedestrian ramps

@Evanryt I mean they literally just fixed the whole third ward in less than a month so I trust. Ironically I think the oak leaf to Hank Aaron trail connection will be the hardest part (I’ve also raised that red flag to DPW folks)

Yes, Wisconsin has a state-owned rail network that it refuses to put any money into. We could literally have the best public transit in the country 🫠

The state already owns the tracks and ROW between Watertown and Madison. It would be a fairly easy lift to upgrade them to 110 mph. And the CPKC mainline should be redouble-tracked between Pewaukee and Watertown. It just takes money.

@ratslayer00 @ratslayer00 that's the boomer headline that's just not true. @TomDaykin has great articles about why the the buildings you're referring to failed to fill fast, most of it boils down to multiple high profile buildings finishing within a year of each other
