Maybe the very first ever iPhone app designed in Windows Phone metro UI has been released to the Apple AppStore - on the first try, unexpectedly! 🎉

Metro photos is alternative photo gallery inspired by typography and motion of metro UI used in the Windows Phone OS.

Anyone who would like to experience the Windows Phone feel on iOS, you can download the app on this link: https://t.co/iLUvGYyDdt

iPhone Duo support is coming as well!

@none24smu Thanks for the insights. I will definitely have a look at that before I do this impulsive purchase lol

[DaveThePCGuy @Dave_ThePCGuy]

@none24smu I checked the AppGallery and my bank isn't there unfortunately. But I'm curious whether there is some workarond to install it as the Android APK

[DaveThePCGuy @Dave_ThePCGuy]

@none24smu Well that sounds good. What about the manipulation with finances and contactless payments? Banking app and payments are crucial to me.

[DaveThePCGuy @Dave_ThePCGuy]

@Lucianoop05 @catgoesviral Exactly my first thought lol

[DaveThePCGuy @Dave_ThePCGuy]

@bdsams Agree. That's why am I bringing it to the iOS!

[DaveThePCGuy @Dave_ThePCGuy]

@AriaLikesStocks @xtyna_ *you're

[DaveThePCGuy @Dave_ThePCGuy]

@pkuhar

[DaveThePCGuy @Dave_ThePCGuy]

@raza_3ahmad Hello, this is iOS app only. Can't run on Windows phone device

[DaveThePCGuy @Dave_ThePCGuy]

Metro music is almost ready for the AppStore submission. It's the alternative music player for iPhone inspired by Windows Phone and Zune UI. It allows you to stream a music from your Apple Music library or upload the files stored in your phone.

[DaveThePCGuy @Dave_ThePCGuy]

@rjs I heard that tune so many times.. Where are the glasses? Even the Apple ones? Where are AI pins?

Truth is glasses are far from being ready, and phones are superior. Nobody is going to carry another device that needs to be charged

[DaveThePCGuy @Dave_ThePCGuy]

@pkuhar Dang, I know what you mean now! I have to say I kinda like it but on the other hand it's deviation authenticity. Good catch btw

[DaveThePCGuy @Dave_ThePCGuy]

@pkuhar I'm looking to that almost nonstop now.. You mean the swipe in the now playing screen?

[DaveThePCGuy @Dave_ThePCGuy]

@gus33000 You can try my software if I got close enough or it needs more polish;)

[DaveThePCGuy @Dave_ThePCGuy]

@GTASixInfo What about macOS?

[DaveThePCGuy @Dave_ThePCGuy]

After Metro photos, I’m now working on Metro music, a Zune - Windows Phone inspired music player for iPhone.

Focus is clear.. Bold typography, clear hierarchy, motion, ease of use and feeling overall. I was trying to avoid to make it too complex and overwhelming, that's why the main features for v.1 are:

- Apple Music integration
- Your on device music library

[DaveThePCGuy @Dave_ThePCGuy]

@ClassicOldSong For almost bare metal this is impressive!

[DaveThePCGuy @Dave_ThePCGuy]

@fuma_ten That's creative!

[DaveThePCGuy @Dave_ThePCGuy]

@ClassicOldSong Thank you!
How did you make the animations btw? This was the hardest part for me and ironically animations are the biggest chunk of the code
