For the duo 1. The repos will be available the same day I release the ROM. Everyone will be able to have fun 😁 yes it will have bugs but, at that point I welcome everyone to go bug hunting and fixing.
@panton_chris Don't worry lol there will be bugs for everyone to find. Nothing about this port is perfect. Hoping to be finished soon and then everyone can have at it.
@Abhi_Flex For your type of system it'll be really slow and probably push up against your storage capacity. Just make sure you manage your space. LineageOS itself takes up around 200-400gb depending on which version
@Abhi_Flex For example, I have 3 computers I work on for different things.
My Minisforum v3 has 32gb of ram , 1TB and a 16 core CPU.
Another system I have has a 24 core with 32gb of ram and 4TB
And my more powerful machine has 128gb of ram, 48TB and 24 cores
It ranges per device. I usually start with figuring out how to build the kernel so I have less issues with getting logs. The Pixel took 2 days, as did the duo 1, and the duo 2 took 4 days.
A device like your MacBook can do builds but you'd ideally want something with 32gb of ram and 1TB bare minimum.
The initial issue with this on the duo is the settings toggles and the notification area aren't aligned correctly for 2 separate displays lol I'll fix that at some point. It makes sense considering the pixel folds are single display folding devices so they would've never run into such an issue
On the side, ive been working to get AMD's RX 7000 series cards working in MacOS via OpenCore. Right there's a project I wish I had help for.
But nevertheless 🗣️ WE MOVE
