@elimcgowan@PerfInjust@irishpresby@ZacharyGarris “Ethnic” is always right there. Time for the courts of the church to discipline these views and for these guys to repent and believe the gospel
@j_e_r_e_m_y_j@presbycast Yeah, that's right. They seem to fund people and institutions across the theological spectrum. Some we'd disagree with, and some that they probably disagree with on certain matters.
@uribrito It is a difficult read in places, but the high points are incredible. And it’s quite important for understanding his later more widely read works. Glad you dove into it!
@thisisfoster@jeremyfair This is narcissistic behavior. This has nothing to do with you - it’s about a man, a family and a church devastated by sin and sorrow. Don’t let the internet and internet culture war nonsense warp your soul. Mourn and pray.

@Vicar1973 I’d say that the difference pivots on power. Keller’s model sought to persuade our neighbors of the gospel and to serve for the sake of the city’s common good. CN seeks power over the neighbor to compel them to privilege and comply with Christian faith.
@ZGroff Do you remember Wednesday at GA? It seems like a natural result of that display during the MNA report that these brothers might question their sense of belonging
@ZGroff Doing this without an intentional commitment to raising up minority leadership to plant and pastor in diverse neighborhoods and cities will lead to the PCA remaining ethnically and culturally exactly where it's been and negating our small but real progress in recent years.
@warne@jeretics@Danielfwells I think the people to the left of Keller and to the right of Duncan are forever unhappy in the PCA (hate the left/right thing, but you know). I think they can still live in "the big tent" but not without laying down the desire to make it something other than it is.
