No No.
That is not what Bruno said. I also watched the post match interview.
He actually said he shot instead of passing.
Roy said that Bruno said he passed instead of shooting. Wrong.
Apologise, Roy.
Myles Lewis-Skelly was 11 the first time an agent called his mother about him. The agent was moving quickly as he'd identified his quality. MLS was way too young to be snooped around. His mother didn't like that. She said she didn't know anything about football at the time but knew wrong from right.
At 12, a sports brand approached his parents asking to sponsor MLS. His mother said it felt too soon, and she didn't know enough to make important decisions. Her son was sought after and she was just being a mother who stood there with him.
MLS’ parents didn't know much, and they reached other parents who've had bright footballers like their son, and they got some advice. That was how Marcia studied for a Master’s degree in football business. She wanted to know the business too.
After that, she sat for FIFA’s football agent exam. She said she did it to know more about how it runs. Her thesis for her Master’s was on parents’ experience in youth football.
She started a podcast where she invited parents of footballers to talk about raising footballers and supporting them through the journey. She had Alex Iwobi’s dad on the podcast. Emile Smith-Rowe’s dad has been on it too. After that, she opened a website to provide 1-to-1 support for parents of aspiring footballers.
I'm sure she's busier these days as she has to be with her son through those journeys. It's never easy for parents of footballers. It's why when I congratulate those who break through, I congratulate their families too because I understand the sacrifice. I see it.
🚨🚨MICHAEL CARRICK TALKS ABOUT AMAD IN DETAIL:
“I actually think he's playing well, Amad. I think numbers in terms of goals and assists, I think there's an awful lot more in the game. Playing in a winning team like he has, to worry about numbers, I think he gives the team so much.
He's got so much talent, he's got so much ability, but his work ethic and his attitude is fantastic as well. He's played different roles at times. I'm a big fan of Amad, I think he was unlucky and unfortunate that we had to change things tactically the other night [against Brentford], and it was purely on that why he came off.
I think he's given the team an awful lot. It's the underbelly of what goes into the performance, not always what the headline grabs, that actually proves to be a team that's going to be successful and Amad's part of that.”
