@georgewrighster This was a revenue sharing contract paid directly by the UW and BIG10’s media rights. That’s a major difference than 3rd party NIL deal. Glad they are fighting this. Good for all of football.
@MoPaiaina@Coog4Life67@heitner Family went behind the back of the agent and his agent fired him.
Williams is radioactive and no school should want to touch him. In all likelihood UW will be out a QB and 4M but Williams going to have to sit this season out.
@MoPaiaina@heitner Not an NIL contract but a revenue sharing contract that comes out of UW’s budget. This is totally different than Lucas which makes it all the more interesting
@rozenwill Can’t wait for LSU to pay treble damages so severe that it sets an example not to tamper with signed players. This case is going to be precedent setting at LSU’s expense. Kiffin already doing a great job at pissing off every cfb fan outside of Louisiana.
@Softykjr Hoping this leads to change. Across the country, every school president, AD, coach, conference commissioner will be backing the UW and supporting them in any way they can. This is a huge business and now hurting the product. Fairness needs to happen with players and schools.
@BudElliott3 I hope this is the case study to bring NIL changes and regulations that protect the player and the school. Zero ground rules at moment which is wrecking the sport.
@AndyStaples Every fan of every school better be tuned into this. This case will hopefully set precedent and finally put guardrails and regulations in place.
@rozenwill Can’t wait for this to be the catalyst to fix this NIL mess for every school. There are no rules and regulations. Something needs to be done.
@Softykjr Stand up move by Petitti to attend the service.
This whole Williams thing is going to be an interesting case study to follow. Have a feeling the only ones that come out on top with this are going to be the lawyers involved. At least it may set some precedent.
