@225couyon@Bouttesburner Yes and a handful of them will be back in the portal next year.
I’m not saying they need to pay up for five WRs, but they need to spend what it takes to land Easton Royal
LSU will lose some NIL battles for high school safties and defensive line this cycle because they already have high-paid young players at those positions. WR and OL is where the high school money should go this year.
@DrunkCoachBaker@225couyon They think LSU can win a bidding war for every single player. It’s like a professional sport. Some offseasons more money will be spent, others they’ll be more selective at other positions.
@alex_kirshner@Slate I don’t disagree, but they need a better way of counting votes. When it takes this long it only fuels conspiracy and other big states count at a much faster rate.
@LSUDAN67 They don’t want to spend 5 million on one left tackle every year. Go look at the top offensive lines. They’re rarely built through the portal.
@hammerswithaK It’s more about how much money can be spent on each position to fill out a roster. They just paid up for three defensive tackles last year. They can’t afford to do that again this cycle.
Transfer🚨Missouri freshman 2B Blaize Ward is entering the transfer portal. One of the best freshman bats in the sec all year long, hitting .296 with 4 HR and 33 RBI this season starting in 43 games. Should get a lot of attention
Texas State RHP Wade Cooper is entering the portal, his advisor @Pchap_Kares tells me.
Cooper just finished his freshman season at Texas State and pitched to a 4.72 ERA with five saves in 66.2 IP with 73 K's.
And I like what LSU brings back in terms of starting pitching, but LSU needs more depth, especially with Moore coming off an injury and Cowan graduating.
No, LSU should be aggressive in signing top talent from the portal. LSU has a strong young core set to return, but they have a ton of spots to fill, don't have any proven players at 2B, SS, or 3B and losing the entire outfield.
