Painful comments section. Let me spell it out.
$LITE and $AVGO have superior laser design and fabrication process. They can deliver same noise performance and power with much shorter cavity length.
Everyone else has to make lasers 60% longer, obliterating InP area and yield.
same shit we have seen a sickening amt of times in recent times. Such a phony mkt by wall st criminal clowns, pure shit people, talentless manipulators
This is how I think about $AAOI ...at @FirstWaveFund we were a little late to the party... we started buying aggressively in February/March and then added on dips the past few months... it's now a top 7 position in the fund.
If you're buying $AAOI today then you missed a 6-bagger in the past 6 months (sucks) but I think this stock could be another 6-bagger within the next 3 years.
Obviously it comes with risks so it's not a "set it and forget it" position but it's definitely one that should be on your watchlist if it's not already.
HOW THE AI SUPER CYCLE WORKS
Market cycles are simple:
• Leaders breakout first $SNDK $MU $SPY
• Secondary names follow $INTC $DELL $AAOI
• Laggards rally last $SNOW $MDB $CRM
Then comes:
• Overextension
• Profit taking
• Consolidation
• Relief rallies
• Repricing
Then institutions move to a new theme.
And the entire cycle starts over again.
Learn to find leaders early.
That’s where fortunes are made.

Market Perspective
The bull case is that Apple is finally showing a more complete AI strategy rather than just incremental features.
The bear case is that most of these tools won't hit consumers until later in 2026, and many investors were hoping for a more aggressive AI rollout to compete directly with OpenAI, Google, and other AI leaders.
The biggest thing I'm watching isn't the features themselves.
It's whether Apple's AI ecosystem can drive:
iPhone upgrade cycles
Higher services revenue
Increased hardware demand
If consumers see Siri AI as a reason to upgrade devices, that's where the real revenue story starts.
Bottom line: WWDC was less about flashy AI demos and more about Apple laying the foundation for an AI-powered ecosystem. The question now is whether that's enough to reignite growth.
1) sounds like the capacity buildout is going well, in terms of hitting their 2027/2028 targets, it's definitely not a demand issue... they have way more demand than they can handle
2) sounds like there's a clear path to 35% gross margins in the next few years
3) their biggest customers would basically commit to take 100% of their supply over the next few years if $AAOI would let them
4) sounds like every hyperscaler is giving LTA offers, trying to lock down supply
5) it costs approx $120M in capex to increase capacity by 100k transceivers... which is 1.2M per year... at an average of $500 ASP... so they're spending $120M to generate $600M revenues per year at 35-40% gross margins ... love that math
will add more in the next couple days :)
Just left the 75 minute meeting with $AAOI management... I'm definitely even more bullish now than I was going into the meeting... if $AAOI wasn't already a top 7 position and/or wasn't up 13% today I'd be increasing our position by 30% or more. I really hope we get another pullback because i'd love to load up again under $160.
I'll try to put together a post in the next few days with my thoughts... it's becoming very clear that most investors aren't bullish enough on optics and we're still in the very early innings.
Giddy up!!!!
