In August, on my grandson’s 9th birthday, I gave my daughter $500 to seed his 530A Trump Account.
When the account opened, @MichaelDell and Susan Dell’s $250 hit it. That was the moment he got excited. He wanted to see the app. He wanted to see “his” money.
We did not stop at a one-time gift. We turned it into a weekly habit.
I scanned the QR code and added $50 on top just to test the app. It worked. Simple. Fast.
A couple of weeks ago it hit me: if I add a little every week, he will actually watch.
So now, every Friday after the close, he has a job.
He tells me:
1The S&P 500 close
2The weekly change
3One company in the index
Then I put $5 in his Trump Account.
He does not get paid for existing. He gets paid for paying attention.
That is the point.
The $500 birthday seed started the account. The Dell $250 made it real to a kid. The QR test proved a grandfather can fund it in seconds. The weekly $5 is what builds the habit.
He is learning the names of American companies. Not slogans. Companies. The ones in the S&P 500 that hire people, sell products, and compound over time.
A child who owns a slice of those companies becomes a capitalist. A child who only hears that wealth should be handed out becomes a spectator.
A 530A Trump Account is a tax-deferred investment account in the child’s name. No job required to fund it. Any U.S. child under 18 with a Social Security number can have one.
Kids born 2025–2028 can get a $1,000 Treasury seed. Family, friends, and employers can add up to $5,000 a year. It stays invested in a low-cost U.S. index fund until the year he turns 18.

Thank you @POTUS for signing it.
Thank you @SenTedCruz for writing it.
Thank you @SecScottBessent@USTreasury and @TrumpAccounts for building the account, the app, and the QR code so a grandparent can fund it from a phone.
Thank you @MichaelDell and Susan Dell. Your $250 is what made a little boy open the app and care.
Thank you @altcap@InvestAmerica24 and everyone else putting real money behind other people’s kids.
This is how you raise owners, not dependents.
Grandparents: seed it once. Then attach a weekly job to the next dollar.
Parents: open it tonight at https://t.co/zCwD8aNj55.
If you are doing this with a child, reply with the company they named this week.

@rachel_redeemed@MichaelDell Do you think Brad Gerstner thought of the concept alone or discussed it in conversation? He replied earlier. He’s a regular All-In podcast Bestie.
Thanks to everyone involved.

@LeaT_Design@MichaelDell Lea, have you gotten laid lately?
You sound frustrated! 😩
I’ll take it from here.
The boy speaks Chinese and doing exceptional in school.
@DanaWorley10@MichaelDell Nothing makes a child even more capitalist than tacking on some additional bonus contributions.
Thanks for the encouragement.
“He’s excited for the opportunity for bonuses! Definitely enjoys watching him money grow and your plan is great to hopefully get him involved in learning about investing!”
This is so good. Exactly what we hoped would happen.
EVERY child becomes a capitalist and a shareholder in America’s success. 🇺🇸🚀
A 9-year-old checks the S&P 500 close, names a company they own a piece of, and watches that ownership grow over time, learning investing, ownership, and the power of compounding along the way. 📈
