The thing that @WordPress (or any CMS) has over something like a vibe-coded site are the guardrails.

Decades of iteration have created a system for organizing content into tables. That content can be CRUD-ed dependably and without fail to create the desired experience of the website.

AI is still incorrect a lot. That's not an insult, it just will always be at the whim of interpreting what you ask it to do, how much to improvise, whether to correct itself, whether to style this form one way and another form another way or have both adhere to a your design system.

The guardrails make sure that those impulsive errors don't happen.

So our job is to tell AI to work within the guardrails and to put other guardrails and conditions in its place.

For everyone who says stuff like 'AI can put a nice splash page together but it can't handle more complex website,' of course it can.

But it can't do it from your first prompt, you have to feed it the guardrails and design flows that have it review its own work against those systems.

We're in the rails biz now.

People can say these sites don't matter, but they do, unfortunately.

Let's say they even inflate their customer numbers by 50%, that's still 3,250 customers that product creators may not be getting revenue from.
