@GergelyOrosz Google has a massive incentive to fix this. To suggest otherwise is absurd and unhelpful. The optics on this will absolutely get attention. Why suggest otherwise?
@mipsytipsy Also, never forget, leadership can also value low friction Directors. I agree no surprises but nobody wants a Director who is high maintenance. Directors should be able to solve as much as possible without escalating. Sometimes me it’s me though.
@mipsytipsy Great thread. I would say that it’s easier to get promoted internally only sometimes. If you have a long tenure, have grown over time, some leadership may still see you as the junior EM and not always recognise you as Director. Happens with long term static leadership.
