I wish more people understood this. It’s a very natural cycle that tbf has been exaggerated by the negative hype of FC26. Regardless of game state, it’s virtually impossible to do anything new and exciting in June that hasn’t been done thousands of times over already.

It’s the same game burnout cycle every year.

Use all the content in the first 9 months of the cycle.

Declare it dead and switch over to its nearest competition.

Every single year since 2017 and yet, in 3 months when a new game is out, they’ll be back to their bread and butter.

Guaranteed rewards for playing on its own it’s a great move and if implemented right and fairly even more so. But what happens to the menu grind now? I can’t see them totally getting rid of card recycling otherwise we will all have 1000’s of players in the club.

EA announced the new Tokens system is REPLACING existing player picks, packs, and guaranteed promo cards in Rewards.

So it's just Tokens + Coins for rewards. Not sure how I feel about that 🙃

@Cynical_FUT @FUT_Accountant I’m hopeful. I’ve not played a lot of games in 26 and the menu grind has still been there throughout. Maybe it’s the best of both worlds; guaranteed rewards for those that play along with a decent menu grind. I know, it’s EA, it will all be for store packs…

@AlexionIQ Misread and thought you meant 26, not the franchise in general. Players have pretty low expectations as it is and whilst a new reward system does seem rather radical, will it go towards solving any of the numerous problems? Probably not. Regardless, interesting times ahead.

@NepentheZ @Futdonk Fair point, but then they’ve not added anything to the game but they have altered the experience, because now there are far more cards that are deemed unusable which overall has significantly reduces longevity for players.
