For what it's worth, including the playoffs, it took the Patriots 90 games to incur their previous 18 losses. That stretch spanned more than five years (from 9/30/14-11/2/19).

Since 11/1/19, the Patriots have won 13 of 31 games. Over that span, 10 teams have won fewer games; 9 of those have changed head coaches.

Not suggesting Pats should make a change ... but also not feeling convinced they're headed in the right direction.

Hoyer has taken plenty of crap this week (deservedly), but let's not forget that Brady also took a sack that cost the Pats near-certain points at Miami in 2018 ... in the game they later lost via Miracle. GOATS and JAGS alike are prone to bone-headed mistakes.

Hard to fault a guy for using the leverage that's earned through greatness. Stardom comes with power -- and, still, it took a while before Gronk could actually use that power. Then he used it at his first chance ... with little regard for loyalty or how it would leave the Pats.

Go ahead and say "Nobody wants to play for Belichick anymore!" but players use whatever leverage they can muster to force their way to a new team ALL THE TIME across the NFL. A big part of BB's mastery is that the Pats have managed that reality well enough to still win 6 titles.

@GlobeChadFinn @BostonDotCom Of course, since those Sundays often began with a groggy rehashing of Saturday night's hijinx, those recaps were loaded with innuendo and inside jokes -- so, once they started being noticed by potential employers who bothered to Google, the site was scrapped. It was the greatest.

Kept a scorebook, had a website that tracked stats, and I wrote game recaps each week. The 95 League will live forever in the lore of our group.
