Worth sitting with who wrote this. A former Trump speechwriter's council decided the first African American Smithsonian secretary and the first woman to run the American History museum represent institutional capture. The report does not name a fabricated exhibit or a factual error. It names an ideology, theirs, as the problem.

Bunch's actual quote on Sunday was about aspiration, that America's strength comes from understanding its history rather than running from it. That got labeled radical activism by people who have not shown a single inaccurate placard, only a preference for a version of the past that ends before it gets uncomfortable.

Gov. Shapiro said it plainly. No single president gets to hand down one narrative and call the rest propaganda.
