Beautiful scene in Lerwick early this morning, with sailing ships in the harbour for the Tall Ships Races 2023, and rare noctilucent clouds in the sky to the north. The two ships in the centre are Fryderyk Chopin (Polish brig) and Bima Suci (Indonesian Navy barque) behind.

@RobGMacfarlane @RSPBScotland @helenmoncrieff @NatureInShet - Comments please (context / source) for the Puffin stat in this tweet and article? The disastrous Arctic Tern figure quoted in the tweet is for a count in a particular area, rather than the whole of Shetland.
'Dragon Breath' - a hidden motif revealed by the flames as the galley burns. More Up Helly Aa photos uploaded to my website at https://t.co/MBH4Uf6riG π₯ #uphellyaa#uphellyaa2018
