15 years after getting engaged at Graceland, Laura-Louise and Caisley Knowles returned from the UK with their children for their first family visit together. ❤️
Their family’s connection to Elvis now spans generations, from their original Graceland proposal in 2011 to sharing Elvis’ music and legacy with their children today.

One of the more interesting discoveries upstairs at Graceland is this Good News Bible – Silver Jubilee Edition, produced to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the reign of Queen Elizabeth II in June 1977.
The Silver Jubilee inspired countless commemorative items, and Elvis appears to have had several of them, including this Bible, a black leather bookmark bearing Queen Elizabeth's Royal Cypher ("E II R" — Elizabeth II Regina), and a decorative tray featuring portraits of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip that was found in the Graceland kitchen.
As with many items in the collection, we're not entirely sure how or why Elvis acquired these pieces, possibly a gift from a fan, but they offer a fascinating glimpse into the eclectic objects that found their way into his home. Sometimes the mystery is part of the story.
John Lennon said, "Before Elvis, there was nothing." He was right.
When Jailhouse Rock was filmed in 1957, Elvis Presley personally designed the entire dance routine. Although the studio hired a professional choreographer, Elvis felt the steps looked too rigid. Wanting raw, explosive energy, he stepped in himself, inventing the famous sliding moves and pelvic thrusts that sparked nationwide controversy.
Music historians often point to this scene as the first true concept music video, decades before MTV existed. More than a film moment, it became the template for modern pop performances and the visual language of future superstars.
Dennis Taylor: I’ll turn the old glasses upside down and put the gear up on my head and wag my finger. It’s gonna be absolutely brilliant.”
Steve Davis: Why don’t you just fuck off?” 😂
At the 1972 Madison Square Garden press conference, Elvis Presley carefully avoided sharing his personal views, choosing instead to keep his opinions private and steer clear of controversy while remaining polite and composed.
“Rescuing Buttons has been the best decision we’ve ever made. She brings so much happiness to our lives and everyone she meets.
We’re so lucky to have her. We’re obsessed. I thoroughly recommend adopting a homeless dog”

Elvis Presley rehearses "Yesterday" by The Beatles (1970)
The ultimate compliment is to have Elvis Presley sing one of your songs, and The Beatles got it.
