Watching KMJS on public school teachers in debt made me wonder... how much harder is it for private school teachers who earn far less, sometimes without pay during breaks, yet still carry families?
Boss: “You arrived 10 minutes late.”
Employee: “Yesterday I stayed late finishing that last-minute report.”
Boss: “I understand… but rules are rules.”
The next day, the employee arrived exactly on time.
And at 6:00 p.m. sharp, shut down the computer.
No extra emails. No work taken home.
If punctuality is non-negotiable, then effort must have boundaries too.
Recognition cannot be one-sided.
When mistakes are highlighted but dedication is ignored, the real message becomes clear:
“Do only what’s required. Nothing more.”
Empathy costs nothing.
The absence of it? That can cost you everything—especially your best people.
We must not wait for danger to remind us of its worth... not just when danger reminds us how much we need it. We should protect and appreciate it every single day, because it stands as our first line of defense, silently shielding us even when the skies are clear.

An extra chromosome does not determine a person’s worth or humanity.
We need more of this.
My students are really excited to share their culture (esp. customs and traditions) and what makes it unique. It’s the perfect time to bring up cultural relativism... it'll help them understand and respect the differences even more! Enjoying this core sub in SHS!
