Fairly recently it struck me that when I hear about some news happening, I actually don't know where to turn to get the details. Considering the existence of the BBC, I found this disconcerting.

If doctors in the UK have to undertake some amount of CPD learning to keep practicing, why can a driver that learned to drive decades ago continue without formally keeping up with changes in transport safety, hazard awareness etc.
Doesn't make sense to me.

If we could simply reduce Disability claimants to the number before lockdown we would save £24 billion a year.
Enough to fund a chunky part of social care.

@realwillreil@no1089 I second the hot plate idea. I've got a tiny one that works wonders. Note that you'd probably need to switch to a connector with surface mount lugs, as the through hole ones would get in the way of sitting it on the hot plate.
