All humans share the same basic nature, but cultures do not. Some cultures create the conditions for progress and growth, while others trap societies in a cycle of decline and underdevelopment. Think of it this way. Our bodies are the hardware. Our cultures are the software.
The hardware is the same everywhere, but the software varies widely.
Countries that have advanced built cultures grounded in rule of law, a strong sense of nationhood and universal principles that guide public life. Countries that remain poor often cling to cultures that
rarely reach any meaningful conclusion through conviction or imprisonment. What dominates the space instead is a steady stream of media trials designed to keep key opposition figures under pressure.
