Stonehill ‘30
Excited to announce I will be continuing my academic career and playing Division 1 baseball at Stonehill College! Thank you to all my family and friends who’ve supported me the whole way. I’d also like to thank all the coaches at Stonehill for this opportunity.
WH softball made a statement Monday, rolling to a 14-1 victory powered by a balanced offensive attack and a dominant pitching performance.
Lizzy McNaught was nearly untouchable in the circle, surrendering just one hit and one unearned run across six innings while punching out eight batters. She gave the Panthers everything they needed to stay in control from start to finish.
Alyssa Anderson carried the offense, finishing 3-for-4 with five RBIs — including a two-RBI hit in the fifth that blew the game open. Brianna Guidaboni provided steady support with multiple hits, and Madison Nascarella came through with a bases-loaded walk to push a run across during that pivotal fifth-inning rally.
Whitman-Hanson seized control in the third inning and never looked back, with Abby Norton adding a spark on the bases by swiping two stolen bases.
The Panthers improve to 6-5 on the season.
Whitman-Hanson softball put together a strong team performance in a 9–4 win over Plymouth North, led by Emily McNaught’s perfect 3-for-3 day at the plate, including a double.
The Panthers responded quickly after falling behind and took control with a big fourth inning, powered by key hits from Brianna Guidaboni, Abigail Norton, and Alayna Loring. They broke a tie in the fifth and never looked back, adding insurance runs to secure the win.
Loring earned the victory in the circle, while Elizabeth McNaught dominated in relief with two scoreless innings and five strikeouts. With 11 hits and aggressive baserunning, Whitman-Hanson showed a complete, confident effort.
Yes along with all the other PED era guys who belong in as well. The numbers aren’t that skewed the pitchers were doing it as well which made it harder to hit the ball. And they didn’t technically break the rules. There was no testing and no specifies list of banned substances. This era also likely saved baseball.
Ray McNaught covers 1.1 IP going scoreless; has only given up 1 ER in his last 4 outings.
More K (11) than H (9) in 10 IP this season.
