A relaxed Sunday morning at Frampton and at Deeping Lakes. No specific twitch, just good birding. Wood and Curlew Sands, Spotshanks, Spoonbills, good stuff. A shout out for my new camera - this Sony RX10iv is already producing pleasing results, even for a technophobe like me!

Took a short overnight drive to catch the early Myrtle showing and then went to Ardrossan Harbour nearby for very obliging Black Guillys. An enjoyable outing.

Still doing OK at Sizewell. Oak Processionary and Gypsy Moth last night both firsts for me. 2 Lunar Yellow Underwings were also welcome.

My second night in Sizewell also pretty good. Portland Ribbon Wave is apparently an equal first for Suffolk, Also 4 Rest Harrow. Good supporting cast including Leopard, 3 Tree-lichen Beauty, 11 Archer's Dart and 2 Sand Dart.

First night in cottage in Sizewell. Started with 2 juv Caspian Gulls + Little Gulls off Power Station. Then Bedstraw Hawkmoth, Peacock Moth, Maple Prominent and a big Blue thing overnight. Moderately pleased so far!

Joined the Rannoch Looper club at Budby Notts last night. Also Grey Arches, 4 Clouded Buff and an amazing 7 Great Oak Beauty! With a backup soundscape of Long-eared Owl, Nightjar and Woodcock. Lovely stuff 👌

A great weekend courtesy of @Bawdsey_Hall, cracking place to stay as always. A few good moths including Clancy's Rustic, Feathered Ranunculus, a worn Lunar Underwing and the brightest Merv I've ever seen, plus 3 Scarce Bordered Straw. All thanks to @DeansMatthew.

A trap full of goodies in my holiday cottage garden in Boldre, New Forest last night. Birch Mocha, Mocha, Neglected Rustic and Portland Ribbon Wave, all new for me. Also Vestal, Rusty-dot Pearl and Ostrinia nubilalis.

A worn Southern Wainscot at Shirebrook Wood, Notts on Tuesday evening was our first site record. It's the 10th Wainscot species there for 2022, with Large hopefully still to come.
