Bryan Johnson revealed what you MUST do to get the best sleep possible
''Reading a book for 10 minutes before bed is as powerful as sleep medication, on some metrics it's even more powerful than sleep meds''
''Have your final meal of the day 4 hours before bed, it gives your body time to digest, and when your body has that distance it will lower its body temperature, your blood glucose will be down, melatonin is produced and it gets the body in a more relaxed state''
''You need like an hour wind down routine, if your bedtime is 10 PM, when 9 PM comes turn off all the screens and spend that hour doing things that relax you, read a book, breath work, meditation, hang out with a friend, anything but be on your screen''
The fastest way to change your life is to rip yourself out of your (physical and digital) environment. Change everything overnight. The places you go, the accounts you follow, the info you consume, etc. It's difficult but it absolutely works.
The single most important thing you can do in today's world is to stop operating from the old paradigm. If you need to be told what to do next (go to school, get a job, retire at 65) the outcome of your life will always be in someone else's hands. You must learn how to direct your own work. You must learn how to tolerate and mitigate risk and uncertainty. You must figure out what you want and teach yourself everything necessary to get it. It's extremely difficult, but not as difficult as the silent suffering people learn to accept as "normal."
When Kobe Bryant said his insane level of confidence came from knowing he’d done all he could to prepare, it taught me that anytime I’m nervous it means I didn’t prepare enough.
When everyone has an advantage, it is no longer an advantage.
When everyone can learn and create anything at the click of a button, your advantage comes from slowing down, focusing on your craft, doing the right things manually, and acquiring knowledge that is so specific to you that nobody can generate it with AI.
