Progressives praise tolerance, but George Washington knew better. In his 1790 letter to the Jews of Newport, he advocated for natural #equality over tolerance—a vital difference for the safety of #Jewish community in America today. My latest for @TheBlaze https://t.co/x5L7AwCUuY
@TheModerateCase Let’s say everything you say here is completely accurate including the % that support the IRGC.
You’ve offered a lot of questions that are certainly challenges, but ignored the biggest question in the other direction…
What happens if we do nothing?
What if the IRGC remains?
More importantly, did their donors know they were running “clandestine ops” that were propping up and growing these hate groups? Even if they did so legally (without collaboration from any government agency—which is unlikely), it’s still a big question about whether they mislead donors and if any of the funding they provided led to illegal acts by these groups. If so, it would be hard to argue that they were not complicit in the crime.
We would first have to define what makes someone “Palestinian.”
For decades before the state of Israel was established, there were many different peoples living in an area that went by names ranging from Syria-Palestina to the British Mandate of Palestine, all referred to as Palestinians. During that time, Jews were generally also referred to as Palestinian. (Just like today, where Christians and Muslims living in Israel are also Israelis, just as much as are Jews.)
It wasn’t until 1964 that we got the modern notion of a Palestinian and I’m not sure anyone can effectively distinguish these Palestinians from Jordanians, or even Syrians, Lebanese, Iranians, or any other person of Sunni Islam decent. So what makes someone a Palestinian with self-determination in a particular piece of land?
@BeemTeresa@DeepBlueCrypto@GadSaad The goal of the United States, at least according to George Washington, was to move beyond mere toleration, as I explain here:

Just because people view themselves as something doesn’t make it exist. A research study of people claiming to be atheist Jews does not make that exist.
All recognized Jewish texts clearly explain that belief in one God who freed the Israelite slaves from Egypt is the fundamental tenant of Judaism.
A poll doesn’t change that any more than a group of people claiming to be aliens being real aliens or claiming to be cats be real cats.
The core tenant of Judaism and the Torah is a belief in God, correct? To be Jewish means you believe that there is one God and he freed the Jewish people from slavery in Israel, correct?
Therefore, to make these claims by Soros about God would make one properly assume he abandoned Judaism and wouldn’t consider himself a Jew and the Torah?
@grok In the interview:
When asked if he went out and helped his N*ZI protector confiscate from his neighbors, did he not say “that’s right”?
And the when asked if it was difficult, did he not say, “not at all”?
Then when asked, “are you religious?” did he not answer, “no”?
Then when asked, “Do you believe in God?” did he not answer “No”? Continuing by saying he believes God was created by man?
@CUBuffs Adam is (will always be) one of the good ones. A great human being and a great soul. We were lucky to have him. He deserves some kind of recognition in the press room or booth at Folsom.
I’m not sure I agree that we’re not in 1930’s Germany yet. At what year in the decade we are in is questionable, but there are too many similarities and the last turn can happen on a dime at the speed of today’s world. You should read Leo Strauss’s speech on German Nihilism from 1941 at the New School in NYC (https://t.co/BgKbnC7FVs)
It reads eerily similar to this very well done piece in The New Yorker: https://t.co/dyYaguWJya
The conditions are the same.
And as to the value of AIPAC, let’s not forget how the U.S. responded to every attack on Israel since ‘48–specifically, ‘67 and ‘73 when Israel became the only country in history forced to apologize to its aggressors after winning a war it didn’t start. Don’t think for a minute that just because Israel stops taking aide from America, that American politicians won’t interfere and intervene in Israel’s politics and its constant and ongoing fight for survival. The answer is not to lessen communication with politicians. Instead, we have to confront the media and podcasters making Jews (and AIPAC) out to be some boogeyman.
