You want to know what “white privilege” has gotten me…..

-I’m the product of 2 17yr olds

-I lived in a trailer for my first 20yrs

-My mom was an epileptic and my dad abandoned us and my little brother when I was 10

-We lived on food stamps, some help from my grandparents, and $580mo child support from my sperm donor

-I was socially awkward from being mostly in isolation due to not being around people due to my mom not able to drive or work

I didn’t make excuses nor let that defeat me. I met my wife when I was 20. Found my savior Jesus 6 months later. Got married 3 days before I turned 25. Had my first child at 32. Second at 34.

My wife and I are educated, have good paying jobs, 2 amazing children, active in our faith, and I NEVER, not one single time, blamed anyone for my situation or said “woe is me”.

When you become an adult, the decisions you make in life are owned by YOU.

You have 2 choices….play the victim card and struggle through life or own your situation and make it better.
