🥳This week is our 10 year anniversary of being accredited by the @LivingWageUK - the first UK theatre company to do so!
Back in 2014, the Living Wage was £7.65 per hour (£8.80 in London) and it's now £12.00 (£13.15 in London).

"I’ll say it again, narrative matters."
Check out this article from our Artistic Director/JCEO @ChrisSonnex, where he discusses the importance of narrative, and our More Than One Story project.

I've been dramaturging* this show for the last few months - come find out all about the feminine urge to be a bloody blob monster
*drinking gin while the extremely talented @nathalie_ee_ tells me about Shelley Duvall
This will be one of the last shows to grace our current Sheffield space! @TomYumSim have been friends of Deli for many years - not to mention resident artists. This show is so original and exciting: if you're in town you mustn't miss it.

📡Sheffield! We're bringing our show 'A Suffocating Choking Feeling' to @theatredelishef next Thurs 25th Apr 7pm. We would love anyone interested in LiveXDigital Theatre to come along and get interactive!
DM us for a special discount if this is YOU!

It's not related. It's simply not directly related.
But it still is mindboggling to see this on the day @theatredelishef announces that we're having to pause our artistic programme in Sheffield.

We’re providing £26.4m of funding for the National Theatre, a globally renowned institution.
The UK’s creative industries are a driver for economic growth - this funding will ensure the National Theatre's acclaimed productions can continue.
The only people who don't see value in 'Black Out' performances don't understand them (and the reporting has been bad, rip journalism) or are racist. and relatedly, fuck the tories.
Imagine a world where the UK had a government that responded to anyone who asked for comment on this to stop being so silly about a marketing/access/welcome initiative that has nothing to do with law or policy
watching the system of fringe theatre and arts subsidy that built our careers get shut down is just… what are young artists going to do? How do you think good artists become good artists? how tf can we in good conscience encourage the next gen of creatives when they have nothing
😡@ZipcarUK advertise that they are business and charity friendly, & can be relied on. 8+ years of conscientious membership, countless van & car hires for my work in theatre+charity, & I am banned for life with no explanation or warning. Refused to escalate the matter or explain.
Flawbored were chosen for @theatredeli's 1st Access Residency. A bonkers pitch: a self-avowedly nasty disability-led satire on PR, political correctness & access in theatre. One of the funniest things I've seen. 1.5 years later, they're in NEW YORK. They deserve it all & way more
Today we left our 14th venue, Deli Houndsditch.
Used as overflow studios for our main Leadenhall St venue, during this tenancy we offered space to @ScrumTheatre @Flawbored @RwothOmack @louiseorwin@roxyjoycook@Lidless_Theatre and more.
We've already got 🔑 for venue #15.
