@icgee@Caltrain@SFBART Any idea how long it takes to go from the Embarcadero to the Caltrain stop? I could potentially use this to transfer from a ferry to Caltrain.
@WarrenJWells You’re so right.
We did a mini bike bus on the way to daycare from a weekly bagel meetup recently, and the next time we had bagels, without prompting my toddler asked, “are we doing a bike bus?!”
@nhfoley@boxcardavid@sdamico I feel you with my gas Ooni and a weak breeze... I want to watch this space for an electric alternative. I'm already eyeing an electric outdoor grill because I'm so over refilling LP tanks (and how cool would it be to grill with power straight from onsite PVs!?).
@KenjiCapital With all the incentives and the fact you’re upgrading the electrical for the building, why did you not put electric heating in? Such as heat pumps so tenants could get heating and cooling through the same unit?
@WarrenJWells Yeah, totally fine. A bit spooked. Crazy how the sidewall of a Model 3 is the same height as a flatbed truck's tire. You start to understand the physics and dimensions of why some folks want that SUV... the knock-on effects to these policies (or lack thereof) are significant.
@WarrenJWells Dang. This is disappointing.
I'm now keenly aware of why side guards are important, having been inches away from going under a flatbed truck yesterday as the driver cut off the car I was riding in.
@WarrenJWells I feel like I've become much more attuned to seeing the built environment in new eyes in the time since I was last in Singapore (which, my goodness, was seven years ago).
@icgee Seems like this is a classic symptom of our jobs/housing imbalance and the resulting supercommutes.
Super interesting to have the data though.
Crazy that 26% of trips (a lot!) are only 0-1 miles yet are only 1% of total VMT. Walking and biking are still important!
