@josiah_wampfler@newsysuzy I thought Poor Things was a brilliant choice, too, but I don’t think many people saw the movie. So instead of thinking she’s portraying the character well, people just thought she was in a weird dress and her skating was stiff and awkward
@amiogm@harunaxmurakami Belgium only qualified 2 spots. The only way to qualify for 3 when you have 2 or more entries is for the top two finishes to equal 13 or less. With Nina’s bronze, Jade would have had to finish 10th
@JADEsheblanc@breadorthottery Um, I wouldn’t put Tonya up there. She had the triple Axel for only a brief period of 7 months in 1991, between Feb when she first landed it at Nationals (1x), to Worlds a month later (1x), and to Skate America (2x) in Sept. I don’t think she ever landed another one since
@rockerskating@n0lancarney This has to be the definitive version of her Malagueña program, though the one program I always go back to is her Samson & Delilah from ‘91 Worlds. It’s what made me fell in love with skating
Alysa Liu during warmup for her Olympic free skate. She was so relaxed she waved to the crowd as her name was announced and turned right around and nailed her triple Lutz-double Axel-double toe #milanocortina2026#figureskating
SHOWTIME on and off the ice ✨⛸️ Alysa Liu brings the magic, and the energy spills all the way to the boards 🔥
Keep your eyes on the coaches tomorrow… because they might just deliver their own SHOWTIME performance 👀🎭

The are checking flags at the entry to the Milano Olympic Ice Skating Arena. They made me open up my French flag 🇫🇷 completely because I am guessing the colors are similar to Russia’s 🇷🇺 #milanocortina2026#figureskating
