@thekapman did you see Harold Reynolds and the baseball tonight crew watching Bregman’s AB live, with Harold talking about what he told Bregman to do? He did it and went yard while they talked about it.
@OutOfTheVines It looks like paralysis by analysis. Like they’re so stuck in the scouting report that they can’t just see-ball, hit-ball. Center-cut straight fastballs, and they watch them or can’t catch up. Go back to sit fastball, adjust for off-speed?
@chicago_sean20 The proof that it was Murphy the whole time, and Ross was actually better than Craig, or at least tried harder. Players have to play, but leadership needs to rally the troops. Craig does nothing.
@CubbiesCrib He will rest on 16 forever
Every failed dollar spent is proof to not spend later
He extended Jed with the understanding he wouldn’t push for big boy trades/signings
Paid Bregman. He’s failing. He’s reason to not spend on the next guy. Think Heyward as reason to not get Harper etc
And chance @WaddleandSilvy confused Coleson Montgomery for Colston Loveland, who wouldn’t be swinging a bat? I didn’t hear it live. @carmendefalco@Jurko64. Not trying to bail him out, just wondering lol.
@nakithebeatman where they went wrong was Craig. Yes, the players have to play, and when things are going well, they’re good. When they’re struggling, leadership needs to pull them up. Craig doesn’t do that. He lets them do everything and shrugs. @thekapman
@thekapman everything is pointing to Murph being the guy who played the kids, lit the fire, help guys accountable. Craig does NONE of that. There is no “get comfortable being uncomfortable.” He’s the same guy as Rossy, except Rossy did everything but play the kids. Wrong guy.
@DobzMiles I’d almost contend they over-prepare to the point of paralysis by analysis. My point being how many center-cut fastballs they either watch or can’t catch up to. Like they’re so reliant on the report that they can’t see-ball-hit-ball. You could be right too. Fucking disgrace
@thekapman@xjhoodespn we heard it in the first highlight of that Sox reel. Just get him over. That’s what the Cubs aren’t doing. That’s what the Brewers do so well. Get a hit. Get it through. Get him over. Don’t need a HR every time. Just do the job. @sheanorling@nakithebeatman
