@truemagic68 Our country is bonkers. Pretty much all the economic data suggest the government is doing a reasonable job in very difficult circumstances compared to other G7 nations . They have made some mistakes but the media vitriol is out of all proportion and always based on anecdotal guff
@Frencheconomics Serous question. Would we be better off rejoining the EU and adopting the Euro at this point? Would that help solve our problems with borrowing?
@lewis_goodall It’s always option 3. A couple of days of media hype and then he can get on with more important matters that actually impact people outside of Westminster
Whoosh. UK GDP (3m/3m) +0.5% in February - the fastest rate of quarterly growth for 11 months. Supports what most of us had been identifying in the economic data - a decent pre-War pick up in economic momentum. Alas looks rear-view mirror stuff now, but vindicates some of the stability that had been building post-Budget.
