I began my day in Mayenje and Bukhayo West Wards in Matayos Constituency, where we continued to empower and support those working hard to improve their livelihoods.

Our mama mbogas received umbrellas to support their businesses, barbers were equipped with shaving machines, salon operators received blow dryers and our elderly men and women received blankets to keep them warm.

I later joined residents of Ageng'a Nanguba Ward in Funyula Constituency, where we extended the same empowerment to more traders and young people. We also distributed food supplies and blankets to our elderly citizens because a caring society is one that remembers those who built it. Tuko Tayari.

Our Party Leader Dr. Oburu Oginga hosted delegations from Turkana, Kilgoris and Nakuru. We were joined by Deputy Party Leader H.E. Simba Arati, Cabinet Secretaries Hon. Hassan Joho (Mining, Blue Economy and Maritime Affairs), Hon. Opiyo Wandayi (Energy and Petroleum) and Hon. Beatrice Askul Moe (East African Community, ASALs and Regional Development). Also present were Hon. Paul Ekwom Nabuin (Turkana North) and Hon. Dr. John Ariko Namoit (Turkana South).

The engagement reaffirmed our shared commitment to social justice, inclusive development and ensuring that the voices and interests of all Kenyans are represented. As ODM, we remain steadfast in championing the welfare of the people and advancing meaningful development through the Broad Based Government.

Under Kenya's Anti-Bribery Act, 2016, both giving and receiving a bribe are criminal offenses. Why, then, does the fight against corruption seem to focus only on those who receive bribes? The law should be enforced equally against those who give bribes as well.
