Good job.
Stand strong on Art. 4 Section 1 on elections. The founders understood that State control of elections is fundamental to our Republic. The distributed nature of the system helps avoid fraud more likely with a corrupt, autocratic executive branch involvement.
There is no constitutional role for The President in elections.
I applaud your rejection of this ridiculous Save Act. There is no reason for the Federal Government to be meddling in State run elections. The distributed nature of elections being run by the states is fundamental to election security. Central control by an autocratic leader would lead to fraud.
SMC,
The tax cuts are fine however reform is still needed (simplify the code). The corruption of the executive branch is horrendous and Article 1 branch needs to develop legislation to push back, create guardrails, and criminalize some of those actions:
Examples:
Thousands of front-running stock trades.
Kickbacks in Trade deals
Autocratic Washington Memorial projects
Crypto weather generating deals by public servants and their families.
Hold executive branch accountable.
@SenCapito@JimJustice_WV
@SteveScalise@POTUS@HouseGOP Define and pass corruption elimination legislation.
For example
1 Do not allow congress or executive branch to front run stock trades.
2. @POTUS must reveal IRS returns.
3. Write legislation specifically to make @Potus legally accountable for quid pro quo financial transactions.
@SenJohnBarrasso The lame duck election denier is refusing to pass a perfectly good housing bill to push his attempt to take over elections with authoritarian methods. Congress and especially the Senate needs to push back. @SenCapito@JimJustice_WV
