The Spaniard is such an impressive signing in my opinion, a real Tonali and Bruno hybrid. Nico seems to have bought into the plan and the new era at the club, joining from City for a very reasonable fee of £48m + £4m in add ons.

🧑‍💼 This is great business aligned with shifting the model using the revenue we’ve already created with the sale of a few key players to now benefit by investing into a younger developing and expanded squad.

🇧🇪 Reports suggest we’ve also put a bid in for Matias Fernandez-Pardo of Lille at a fee of €60m, so we don't seem finished. He’s a confident winger with bags of potential and I'd like to see him arrive also! The Belgian international has been given a €70m price tag by his club, however Pardo and his agents feel that fee is pricing him out of a move, so let's see what happens here, it's definitely something to keep an eye on in the coming days 👀

➕ A few more additions and I really think that we could be a surprise package for this season, as an unknown entity from the dugout to the pitch. I’m a massive fan of the business we’ve completed this window and our new transfer approach of targeting younger, more hungry talent that we can develop further ourselves.

🔚 There’s a big last week until the window slams shut and I can imagine there will be a couple extra names recruited and some names out the door as per Jaissle’s remarks in his post match interview. Good stuff!
