@ronmortgageguy I would agree with you unless Carney is buying them at 70 cents on the dollar as I have heard. Sixty cents would be even better. A condition of sale could be they can not be resold for more than cost for 10 years.
@DavidColetto@abacusdataca It is time for the rest of Canada to start to establish that if, for example, 60% of a Province votes to separate, the maximum land they get is 60% of that province. That way the % who want to stay can stay and Canada maintains a land bridge
@WhiskyMAGA The sad thing about people like WhiskeyShooter is that their minds are so warped and closed that they can not comprehend that the US no longer holds the appeal it held even 20 years ago; that they and their world view are the reason people like me avoid travel to the US
@Gina_T1@grok I asked Grok if your basic premise that Canada doesn't currently have a trade deal with the US was correct. It said that you are wrong; that CUSMA is in effect.
@paulvieira Trump's not going to change who he is. He is not going to drop those tariffs. Carney knows that and is moving Canada to new markets. Get your head out of the sand and face reality. You cannot make a deal with someone you know you can't trust..
@patersonjeff I don't understand why these amateur general managers are trying to suggest that the Canucks should take on all these over-the-hill players on expensive contracts . I guess I just have to accept that they make a living by making these stupid suggestions.
@jeffcanadamson How much of that $18000 would they pay back on taxes? How much would it cost to implement a means test? How much would that means test affect the very poor people you want to help? I don't think it is as simple as you make it sound
@TheManagersBox Every Province has problems with the Federal government. As a person from BC, I have a problem with Ottawa colluding with Alberta to build a pipeline across my province without my provinces involvement. I am sick of the whining from Alberta
@TheRealDKGray@Tori_TLCR@Squijibo I don't know if you can understand this but most of us left wingers are not communist. Things like our medical system and dental system and our social support systems do work and are largely the result of left wing actions.
@Martyupnorth You think that if you break up my Country, I won't find a way to take away your Canadian citizenship? You better believe most ties will be broken.
@PierrePoilievre PP can bluster all he wants but nothing will or should happen until someone steps forward to finance this project. If Alberta wants this project, they need to step up and find the financing and stop blaming the ROC. We can talk about dates when financing exists.
@CharlesLammam GDP per capita is greatly affected by having high-value industries like oil and gas. Alberta's GDP per capita would plummet without oil and gas. Add an oil and gas industry to any of these so-called poorer provinces, and their GDP per capita would go up.
These guys both lie for political gain. There is no pipeline because nobody in private industry will finance it. The conservatives blame it on the Liberals when they know that the real reason the private industry won't finance it is that it's too big a risk.
The "arbitrary new rules designed to kill the project" (assess GHGs) have been applied to three pipelines. Two are built. The other, Energy East, was cancelled in favour of Keystone XL for which the required GHG analysis which was new to Canada had always applied in US SEIS.
@ThomasDrance You tell me who is the worst of the remaining candidates and I will tell you that I heard he is about to be named GM. Then you could say that you heard from a reliable source that this person was about to be named GM and then Canuck Nation would eliminate him.
@WillBarclayPCBG@politico Sorry, but with Carney as leader, that means being better than Americans. That means choosing friends that you can trust and knowing who you cannot make a deal with.
@garymasonglobe Nothing is going to improve until they get rid of this three headed monster that has been running the Canucks. The owner interfering with Rutheford who interferes with his stooge has got to stop. Aquilini needs to hire a head of hockey operations who hires the GM.
@ThomasDrance@wyshynski@NHLFlyers I never questioned whether you were right or wrong. It is your attitude that bugs me. You come across like you think you are smarter than your audience. You present your opinions as fact.
