@CookinAsia@TwBookClub AFL is a historical fiction covering 1840-1918. It is inspired by real life events and their extraordinary(!) social and economic context is all factually researched and evidenced. Of the lives of people in Liverpool and Dundee and the impact on them of WW1 there’s much to learn.
"A Fine Line" by David Gilbertson (@davglb) describes the challenges of generations moving from the 18th to the 19th century. At the story's heart are two friends who choose different paths in life.

@CACoates96 Had we won @CACoates all the other three mountains we aspire to climb this season would have become higher and harder as a result. Can you think of any teams that have ever won everything in the same season? Slot has still only lost one game this season that he judged mattered.
@AndrewJStilton Thanks Andy very glad you’re enjoying it - I should have found a way to get those two in it somehow! It’s a fiction inspired by real events. If you’re still interested at the end I’ll be pleased to give you chapter and verse.

@KayBurley Unquestionably Lord Cameron proved to be anything but a safe pair of hands when he recklessly held a national simple majority referendum he thought he couldn’t possibly lose. The entire country is now paying the price of that colossal error in the unpredictable world of politics.
@SebastianEPayne@thetimes Brilliant line that on why you’re not an MP: ‘but events did not conspire in my favour’. You’re a journalist. How about using three words to explain what happened instead of eight which don’t? They would be: ´but I lost.’ You must be broken hearted.
@RichardBurgon What are you doing @RichardBurgon to ensure all your constituents who should be receiving pension credit (and so can retain their winter fuel allowance) are actually registered for it? Lovely to hear about your voting principles, tell us what you are you actually doing to help.
Winter Fuel Update🧵
I know many constituents are concerned about the upcoming changes to winter fuel allowance.
Firstly, I want to confirm all of those in receipt of pension credit will still receive their Winter Fuel Allowance.
@anneliese_midge Well done Anneliese. Exactly what every MP should be prioritising now: ensuring pension credit and therefore winter fuel allowance, gets to every constituent who is entitled to it but isn’t claiming it. MPs who are explaining their principles can do some real work instead.
