Sad news about the death of broadcaster Judith Chalmers. I reckon I watched just about every ‘Wish You Were’ ITV programme. Nan Margaret and I once shared a flight with her and husband Neil Durden-Smith. We were surely extra safe!!…..
Some photos of the cricketer Mike Smith who has sadly died recently aged 92. My snap of MJK in Barbados as England manager on the West Indies tour in 1994. Other peoples snaps show him working on the Leamington CC ground a couple of years ago. Also meeting the Queen at Lords.
@bbctms RIP Mike Smith (MJK). 1933 - 2026. Very sad news. Saw him play many times for Warwickshire CCC. MJK played for Leamington Cricket Club, watched frequently and even helped his son Neil on the ground. Lovely chap. A true cricket man. Many condolences to Neil and the family. My snap

@tobyperkinsmp Thank you Toby for a lovely message. He could play a bit, far better than his big brother….Especially appreciated with all your professional shenanigans going on….I try and keep his memory alive. But he would be totally horrified at all my social media fuss about him!
