Have natural marketing channels for both for the first time: multiple relatives are electricians (eplan), and sisters love browsing for clothes (dressd).

-Improved old Storygraph scraper (more robust + efficient)
-Smoketest and process now running on old macbook, looks like it'll take ~10 days best case scenario

Finished scraping ~120k books from Goodreads over nearly 1 week.

Faster than expected, but old macbook air 8gb was making loud fan noises (even after I optimised the scraper)

Have to clean the dataset and then scrape from Storygraph also...

Going back to try Opus 4.8, I recall it doing a lot less, but also a lot better.

Really bad at marketing so most of the growth has been organic over time.

Moral of the story: if you build something useful it will grow slowly by itself.

Canva losing so much revenue they're actively trying to hide the billing page, took me 3 minutes of searching through random settings and red herrings to find it.

Why is the url

"settings/billing-and-teams"

instead of just

"settings/billing"

Quick hack, you can create email notification for google calendar events.

Useful if you have a calendar that you don't check too often.

-Figure out marketing for published ios app (that my sisters use)
-Resumbit ios app #2, got rejected but I think I know why
-Use up remaining Fable usage before reset later, only on 25% so far. Might use it to make android versions of ios apps.
