Yesterday, I joined ARISE News to discuss Youth Participation in Politics Ahead of the 2027 General Elections, where I emphasised the need for young Nigerians to take an active role in governance.

Reflecting on my political journey, I shared how resilience, consistency, mentorship, and the support of young people helped me become Chairman after three unsuccessful electoral attempts. The journey reinforced my belief that setbacks should not define our ambitions.

I also highlighted the importance of inclusive local governance, where CDAs, CDCs, market women, religious organisations, political groups, and other community stakeholders have a voice in shaping decisions that affect them.

As we look towards 2027, young Nigerians must go beyond conversations and become active participants in the democratic process, bringing value, competence, and commitment to nation-building.
