@NaijaGoldaMeir@ishaqsamaila5 What would you say about those who scoop petrol from fallen tankers, burst pipelines or operate illegal refineries despite seeing the possible disasters happen to others?
Like I always say, the Internet tries to make you care about a million different things that aren't really your business, don't quite affect you and that you have no control over, anyway. Don't do that, the world is too big.
Focus on your immediate surroundings, your work and the people in your life.
Clear eyes, full hearts, chin towards God.
Whatever you do as a business, never stop advertising!
We live in a world where there's so much competition for the attention of your customers such that another business that's not in the same industry as you can make your customer part with their money and have nothing for you
Advertising doesn't mean you must take out an ad on social media platforms or TV. It can be as simple as speaking to someone about your product/service.
Interestingly enough, word-of-mouth, which is one of the most effective forms of advertising, is the cheapest!
However, when you get most of these decisions right (don't worry about getting all of them right) and your business takes off, it will be one of the best feelings you'll ever get!
Hang in there!

The number of decisions that a "bootstrapping" startup founder takes should be a course on its own because it's unreal! You decide the business name, brand colours, brand font, business location, colors to paint the interior and exterior, type of furniture,
Don't even get me started on staffing issues, A.K.A. human resource...
Even if you're lucky to have some sizeable funds to pay people to assist you with some of these, you'd still be involved in taking the final decision.
This should motivate you to constantly connect with those you work with, ensure that they understand the core values of the company, and how to properly communicate those values to the customers.

One thing you must remember as a CEO is that though you don't make every decision in the company, you're ultimately responsible for every decision taken in the company.

In order to avoid expanding too early or too late, an organisation must effectively plan for its expansion using information from consumption patterns, micro and macro economic indices and other local and global trends.

The timing for when you scale up (expand) in a business is very important. If you scale up too early, your business will lack the necessary support structures such as human resource, equipment, processes, etc to support the expansion.
When you expand too late, you would have given your competitors the edge in terms of customer acquisition, access to raw materials, marketing advantage, etc.
